Summary.
Appeasement was a sort of fake peace allowing British and French to ignore imminent threat. The fake peace led to many deaths. After the policy was instigated Hitler felt as though no one would oppose his expansionist policies. It is thought that if the appeasement policy had been abandoned by 1935 WWII may have been averted.
