Summary.
Following World War II, Korea was divided between North Korea and South Korea. Communist North Korea invaded South Korea pushing them far back to the south-eastern corner pushing them almost to defeat. NATO forces then came to the aid of the South Koreans pushing the North Koreans back all the way to the border of China, in reaction China sent 1 million troops who then pushed the South back to the 38th parallel. The border was restored.
